How to migrate to MFD

User requirements

• A unit is located within reasonable distance of work groups
• The MFD is able to easily complete the document build. i.e. finishing, folding etc
• It does the job faster than their desktop device from when the “return” key is hit
• Finishes jobs quickly to avoid bottlenecking
• And is easy to use from the desk top

Business requirements

• The solution must deliver full usage measurement and control
• Information that can be easily exported into cost management applications
  Minimise or reduce network traffic
• Deliver additional future proofing benefits such as scanning, to email, file, ftp etc
• Be as compact and as quiet as possible

This is a different approach taken to that of buying a standard replacement copier or a printer. As the savings are across budget headings the apparent cost of acquiring the numbers of MFD required to migrate the volume would normally prove too daunting but with 342 the issue is now compelling.
